Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the size error of a product and to improve its flatness by placing a temperature measurement part on the top surface of a running steel material, and running the temperature measurement part together with the steel material for the measurement of the surface temperature of the steel material and then separating the temperature measurement part from the top surface of the steel material a prescribed time later.

CONSTITUTION: A temperature measuring sensor 18 moves forth together with a steel material 2 while mounted on the top surface of the steel material 2. At this time, a thermocouple generate a thermoelectromotive force, which is inputted to a temperature measuring instrument 14 to perform temperature measurement. After the temperature measurement, namely, when the sensor 18 moves, a tensile force operates on a weight stopper 20 to drive a driving device 10. As a result, a power transmission wire 16 is wound up to lift the sensor 18 from the top surface of the steel material 2. Thus, the temperature measurement is carried out right before steel material draft, and automatic rolling is performed to realize the reduced size error, improved flatness and improved stability in mechanical properties of the product.
