PURPOSE: To permit adjustment in the capacity of a load converter by changing the number of plural beltlike plates.

CONSTITUTION: Beltlike plates 3 are fixed at certain intervals to a loading shaft 2, and the other ends of the plates 3 are fixed to a cylinder 4. The cylinder 4 and the cylindrical part of the shaft 1 are fixed by means of bolts or the like. If one sheet of the plate 3 is considered, and when load acts between the loading shafts 1 and 2, the strain generated in said plate 3 can be calculated as a beam fixed at both ends. If there are plural pieces of the plates 3, it can be considered that the load which is a fraction of the number thereof acts; therefore, the capacity of load is adjusted by selecting the number of the plates 3 suitably.
