Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for checking the correct processing of banknotes in automatic banknote sorting facilities which sort certain quantities of money into different categories in accordance with predeterminable criteria, in which part-quantities may be destroyed, and in which, after processing of a predeterminable quantity of money or after a particular period of time, a record is prepared which contains, inter alia, information on the banknotes processed, and, in addition, at least one verification mark, calculated from predeterminable record data, is provided on the record and is clearly related to the data included in the calculation.
