Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable to readily staple by comprising an improved anvil means having a bearing opening to bend a pair of legs of a staple provided so as to be deviated relatively to the center line, the anvil means being adapted to form the staple having a distorted face in the lateral or depth direction. CONSTITUTION: A stapling holding means for containing a plurality of staples 61 including a first and second cooperative extended jaw members 22, 24 and disposed in at least one line in one of the jaw members 24 is provided, while in the other jaw member 22, an anvil means adapted to close a staple 61 is provided. The staples are driven to a tissue grasped between both jaw members 22, 24 so as to generate one staple line relative to the tissue and to close the tissue in cooperation with the anvil means. In this anvil means, a pair of bearing openings 200 for bending legs of the staple 61 are provided to be deviated from each other so as to form an angle relative to the center line drawn between the centers thereof.
