PURPOSE: To continue welding by releasing automtically deposition and to improve productivity by providing a circuit which discriminates whether a consumable electrode and base metals are deposited with each other or not and releases the deposition upon ending of welding to an arc welding device.

CONSTITUTION: When the deposition is made, the time limit contact 13 of a timer closes and a normally closed contact 9 is held closed and therefore an exciting voltage is impressed to a relay 15. Therefore the normally open contact 16 of the relay 15 closes and the exciting voltage is impressed to a timer 17, by which the instantaneous normally open contact 18 of the timer 17 is closed and the timer 17 is latched. Since the instantaneous normally open contact 19 of the timer 17 is closed as well, an input signal is applied to a welding current control device 21 until a time limit contact 20 opens upon lapse of the set time of the timer 17 and the welding current enough to fuse off the tip of a consumable electrode is conducted only during said time. When the deposited part is fused off, the automatic welding operation is restarted. Since a normally closed contact 22 is opened as well, the latching of the timer 17 is released and the sequence is reset.
