Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce anisotropy of a sintered forging member by sintering the specific composition of Al-Si series alloy powder under the specific condition. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacture of the sintered forging member of Al-Si alloy powder composed of wt.% of 10-35% Si, 1-5% Cu, 0.5-3% Mg, 0.5-10% one or more kinds of among Fe, Ni and Cr and the balance Al with inevitable impurities and obtd. by rapidly solidifying, the whole powder is made to <=150mum, in which 150-100mum particles are contained at >=2%, and liquid phase sintering is executed at in the range of the liquid phase generating temp. - the liquid phase generating temp. +50 deg.C. By this method, the Al-Si alloy sintered forging member having high strength and small anisotropy can be manufactured.
