Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a power converter capable of preventing an abrupt drop in D.C. voltage Vdc in case of overloading, adjusting reactive power and reducing the capacitance of a PWM converter 5.
CONSTITUTION: The power converter is provided with a control section 22 that controls a PWM converter 5 according to the difference between D.C. voltage Vdc applied to a smoothing capacitor 8 and a specified voltage Vdc*. Further, the D.C. output voltage Vdd of a rectifier 6 is set to the specified voltage Vdc*.
