Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the management or the like easy, by making a robot cleaner more on a space to be cleaned, by itself while controlled by a microcomputer to clean the space, and making the same more to an automatic power source charging means in the case when the charged amount of a battery becomes less than a specific level during the cleaning, to automatically recharge the same. CONSTITUTION: This robot cleaner 11 comprises a driving means 5 which can be moved fore and aft, and can be free turned under the control of a microcomputer 2, sucks the dust or the like from an inlet port by the operation of a vacuum motor 8, and collects the same in a dirt storeroom 16 through the ducts 12, 14. A navigation sensor 23 for detecting the existence of the surrounding obstacle, and the distance and the direction of the obstacle, is mounted on a center of an upper face of a main body, and the casters 24 of a floor condition detecting means are mounted on the lower corner parts. When a charging level detecting means detects that the capacity of a battery 26 becomes less than a specific level, the operation for receiving the ultrasonics from an automatic power source charging means to be moved in the direction, and performing the recharging, is automatically executed.
