Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for the production of a seamless hot-finished tube from steel with reduced deformability, in particular roller-bearing steel, the method calling for a pretreated and degassed as well as deoxidized liquid steel of the required chemical composition to be continuously cast with any cross-section and, after separation of the billet, for the casting to be divided into suitable lengths and shaped. The invention calls for the cut lengths to be heated to the shaping temperature without any preshaping, i.e. as cast, and without any heat treatment (diffusion anealing), and fed to a tube-production plant.
