PURPOSE: To measure distances and light in many regions on a screen with a simple constitution and at low cost by integrally providing a light emitting element for AF and a light reception part for AE and scanning practically.
CONSTITUTION: In the vicinity of IRED 12, PD 13 is integrally provided in a moving part 14. A light is cast from IRED 12 to a subject through a lens 15 and the light from the subject received through a light reception lens is photoelectrically converted with the PD 13. The reflection light of the light flux from the subject is received with PSD 19 and photoelectrically converted signal is output. Based on the photoelectrically converted signal, the distance to the subject is calculated with AFIC 20. The PD 13 integral with the IRED 12 is practically scanned with a scanning mechanism 17.
