Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress data to be transmitted in any arbitrary specified shortest data cycle by distributing the transmission of a data message when the server station of network has a long data cycle. CONSTITUTION: This system includes plural stations mutually connected by a data communication network 5. The respective stations can transmit a token 7, which is to be exchanged between the stations by the network, to the network by successively assigning the right of transmission to the respective stations during the repeated rotations. The network 5 connects stations 3 in the form of ring and utilizes FDDI network standard. Then, plural data cycles are set between the shortest data cycle and the longest data cycle. Since data having a data cycle except for the shortest data cycle are distributed over the long data cycle, the amount of data to be transmitted during a single transmission time slot is averaged.
