Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the equipment which is suitable for high-speed transmission by changing the order of chips, obtained by dividing respective symbols in a series for one burst, in the burst and transmitting them.

CONSTITUTION: This equipment is provided with a transmitter 1 which divides the individual symbols in the series into K (K: integer larger than 2) chips and transmits them with different carrier frequencies and a receiver 2. The transmitter 1 is provided with a chip rearranging circuit 16 between an encoder 11 and a quadruple modulator 12 as a means which changes the order of the chips, obtained by dividing the respective chips, in the burst and sends the symbols, and the receiver 1 is equipped with a chip rearranging circuit 27 between an IQ detector and a demodulating circuit 26. For example, when the symbols are rearranged with the number K=4 of chips, the transmission rate is increased four times only as to chips used for the same frequency. Consequently, this is equivalent to an increase in the speed of variation of phasing on a transmission line for each chip to 1/K.
