Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an infrared-visible wavelength upward shifting material having practical shifting efficiency and sensitivity to infrared radiation of 1.5μm, 0.98μm and 0.8μm in wavelength band without the need of preliminary excitation, and hence applicable to an infrared radiation detector.
CONSTITUTION: At least two kinds of elements, i.e., erbium(Er) and iodine(I), or compds. thereof are incorporated into an infrared-visible wavelength upward shifting material comprising an inorg. material.
