PURPOSE: To perform realizing work correctly and quickly and to prevent unjust use by a card wherein a base material surface or a transparent cover rear face of the card is patterned with coating having different light reflectance and combination of the patterned base material part and coated part is read by a photosensor of a card read device.

CONSTITUTION: A card 1 is made by sticking together a base 2 consisting of plastic material having a size of name card and a transparent cover 3 of the same material and size such that they can not be peeled easily, and the thickness is made to be 2-3mm. On the rear face of the transparent cover 3, for example, four patterns of star 5 are provided around the center along almost a central symmetric line 4 on the card surface with, for example, gold and silver color coatings having light reflectance different from the plastic material, four patterns of parallel thin and long lines 6, 6' are provided symmetrically in the neighborhood of right-and-left both sides, and patterns of oblique lines 7, 7' having seven lines in a group arranged symmetrically right and left are provided. A photosensor, which is provided on a card read device and scans at regular speed, reads a combination of patterned material part and the coated part along scanning area.
