Abstract:

The invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of ether and thioether compounds of formula by reacting compounds of formula with compounds of formula R1-Y wherein R, R1, X, Y and n are as defined in claim 1, in the presence of an acid acceptor and in an aliphatic ketone, which process is carried out under pressure in the temperature range from 115 DEG to 200 DEG C.
