PURPOSE: To provide an automatic vending machine capable of securing the required quality of a selling article for long period when an electric system is not operated temporarily.

CONSTITUTION: The automatic vending machine is provided with a heat source storage part housing a cold reserving agent 8 and a heat reserving agent 9 in the main body of a storehouse, a cooling/heating device 7 cooling the cold reserving agent 8 and heating the heat reserving agent 9 and a temperature control circuit 19 controlling the temp. of the cold reserving agent 8 to a prescribed cooling level value or the temp. of the heat reserving material 9 to a prescribed heating level value by operating the cooling/heating device 7. Consequently, the cold reserving agent 8 and the heat reserving agent 9 are reserved cold or heat at all times and when the electric system is not operated, the cold reserving agent 8 or the heat reserving agent 9 continues cooling or heating.
