Abstract:
PURPOSE:To produce an org. polymer film having high electrical conductivity and improved adhesion to a substrate by selecting a solvent, controlling the oxidation potential of an oxidizing agent and subjecting an arom. compd. to chemical oxidation polymn. CONSTITUTION:An oxidizing agent such as Fe (III) salt is dissolved in a solvent capable of dissolving the oxidizing agent, a polymer binder and a monomer, e.g., aliphatic alcohol and the resulting soln. is spread on a substrate together with the polymer binder. An arom. compd. contg. N, O or S as a hetero atom as a gaseous monomer is then subjected to CVD and oxidation polymn. to form an org. polymer film having high electrical conductivity on the substrate. At this time, the oxidation potential of the oxidizing agent is controlled by selecting the kind of the solvent, the kind and concn. of the oxidizing agent, the addition of a reductant, polymn. time and temp. Pyrrole is preferably used as an oxidation catalyst.
