PURPOSE: To provide a strip-shape carried article folding device where the capacity of the driving source to execute the folding and storing even in the laterally reciprocal sway, and the extra rigidity of the whole device is not required.
CONSTITUTION: A strip-shape carried article folding device where a strip-shape carried article 1 is vertically suspended carried into a storing part 2, folded at the inner side part of the storing part 2, and carried and stored in the folded condition is provided with a guide body 5 to guide the vertical suspension and carriage of the strip-shape carried article 1 on the lower side of a vertically- suspended and carried part 4 of a fixed body part 3 in a vertical manner, and constitutes the lower part of the guide body 5 in a swayable manner in the right-to-left direction by pivotably fitting the upper part of this guide body 5 to the fixed body part 3. A sway control mechanism which folds and stores the strip-shape carried article 1 through the guide body 5 by reciprocally swaying this guide body 5 in the lateral direction within the storing part 2 by being folded at the right and left inner sides in the storing part 2 is connected to the guide body 5.
