PURPOSE: To eliminate press bonding inferiority and to also shorten the cleaning and adjusting time of a press bonding head by preventing the adhesion of an anisotropic conductive film to the press bonding head.

CONSTITUTION: In the press bonding of patterns 3,4 to be bonded through an anisotropic conductive film 5, the patterns 3,4 are thermally bonded under pressure by a press bonding head 7 in such a state that a fluoroplastic material 6 is interposed between a press bonding member and the press bonding head 7 to prevent the adhesion of the anisotropic conductive film 5 to the press bonding head 7. Further, a mechanism sending the fluoroplastic material 6 to reels 11,12 to take up the same is provided.
