Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart shrink proofing with durability to a regenerated cellulose- based fiber structure without impairing hue and color fastness to dyeing by carrying out hot water treatment of a regenerated cellulose-based fiber structure previously subjected to liquid ammonium treatment in a tension-free relax state. SOLUTION: A regenerated cellulose-based fiber structure such as spun rayon plain weave fabric is subjected to liquid ammonia treatment to transfer cellulose II crystal structure in a regenerated cellulose fiber to cellulose III crystal structure and the transferred fiber structure is subjected to hot water treatment at 100-150 deg.C in tension-free state to impart shrink proofing having <=3.0% warp washing shrinkage factor after 10 times washing to spun rayon fabric in non- resin finishing state. Combined weave fabric of rayon filament yarn with spun rayon yarn and cupra woven fabric are each subjected to above treatment to impart shrink proofing having each <=3.5% and <=2.0% warp washing shrinkage factors to these fabrics.
