Abstract:
A process for azo dye transfer from a carrier to a plastic-coated paper by diffusion with the aid of a thermal head, a carrier being used on which there are one or more azo dyes of the formula
in which
R<1> and R<2> independently of one another denote hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl or optionally substituted phenyl,
R<3> denotes hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy or optionally substituted alkanoyl-or benzoylamino,
R<4> denotes hydrogen, chlorine, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio or optionally substituted phenyl and
R<5> denotes cyano, optionally substituted alkoxy- or phenoxycarbonyl or optionally substituted mono- or dialkylphenylcarbamoyl.
