Abstract:
A control system for at least one printing unit, comprising a damping and inking unit, of an offset sheet printing press is described, the forme damping roller (4) being pre-damped without contacting the plate cylinder (7) or the forme inking rollers (1), after which the pre-damped forme damping roller (4), which is still in contact with the dipping roller (5), is engaged on the plate cylinder (7) which is thus pre-damped without moisture being transferred to the forme inking rollers (1), after which the forme inking rollers (1) are engaged on the plate cylinder (7) which is thus pre-damped and pre-inked, after which the printing begins. With the control system according to the invention, the waste sheets during start up of the machine can, in particular, be reduced quite substantially without the quality of printing being impaired as a result.
