PURPOSE: To control the amount of molten slag to be fed to an apparatus for treating molten slag by receiving molten slag flowing out through a molten slag trough in a tilt type storage pan and adjusting the angle of the pan so that the surface of molten slag in a tundish positioned at the downstream side is kept at a certain height.
CONSTITUTION: Molten slag flowing out through a molten slag trough 1 is stored once in a tilt type storage pan 2. By tilting the pan 2, the molten slag is fed to a tundish 3 through a slag trough 4, and it is fed to an apparatus 5 for treating molten slag from the slag feeding outlet 7 through a slag trough 6. At this time, the tilt angle of the pan 2 is continuously adjusted with a tilting device 2-1 so that the surface of molten slag in the tundish 3 is kept at a certain height. As a result, the amount of molten slag to be fed to the apparatus 5 is controlled.
