Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain excellent jiggling correction for a video camera by detecting a motion vector of an entire pattern with high accuracy without being affected by a movement of an object in an image pickup signal. CONSTITUTION:One pattern such as 1 frame is split into macro blocks B 11-B34 in total 12(=3X4). Motion vector detection circuits D11-D34 detect a motion vector of each macro block. The motion vector is fed to an integrated vector generating circuit 7, from which an integrated vector being a motion vector of the entire pattern. A correction circuit 2 implements hand blur correction by a correction signal generated from the integrated vector. When the integrated vector is generated, whether or not motion vectors of spatially separated macro blocks are identical is checked.
