PURPOSE: To provide a cleaning solution with which speeding-up of the cleaning effect can be attained and the resticking of the swelled image forming material can be prevented from occurring by using water together with a swelling agent and an enzyme as the constituents of the cleaning solution.
CONSTITUTION: This cleaning solution is prepared so that it contains at least water, a solvent which has compatibility with water and in which the image forming material can be dissolved or swelled and an enzyme. The water has an effect of spreading the paper fibers and infiltrating the cleaning solution into the inside of paper. By this infiltration effect, the swelling of the image forming material such as the toner, etc., twining around the paper fibers due to the swelling agent is promoted and the effect of the enzyme of enclosing the toner buried in the paper fibers is accelerated and therefore the releasibility of the image forming material from the paper is improved to easily release the material from the paper. The cleaning solution contains 1 to 90wt.%, preferably 30 to 85wt.% water based on the total weight of the cleaning solution and also preferably a 90 to 40wt.% swelling agent on the same basis. The enzyme is added in a 0.001 to 20wt.%, preferably 0.01 to 10wt.% ratio to the total weight of the cleaning solution.
