PURPOSE: To turn a vehicle smoothly by reducing the oversteering trend of the vehicle turning and travelling while being braked.

CONSTITUTION: A suspension system is composed of a braked condition detecting means 46 for detecting the braked condition of a vehicle, a roll control amount distribution correction means 36 for correctively increasing the front wheel side roll control amount more than the rear wheel side roll control amount when the braked condition of the vehicle is detected by the braked condition detecting means, a rear wheel steering means for steering the rear wheel and a rear wheel steering control means 55 for controllably increasing the rear wheel in-phase steering angle amount by the rear wheel steering means when the braked vehicle is detected by the braked condition detecting means.
