Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [at least one of R<1> to R<12> is a group expressed by formula II (Q is 3-20C bifunctional hydrocarbon; R<13> and R<14> are H or 1-5C hydrocarbon with a proviso that one is H) and the residual is hydrocarbon or group expressed by formula III (X is bifunctional hydrocarbon containing ether bonding or ester bonding; R<15> is 1-30C hydrocarbon); (l), (m) and (n) are 0-2000, at least one of R<1> to R<3> and R<10> to R<12> is expressed by formula II for l+m+n=0, with removing a case that one of the R<1> to R<12> is expressed by formula II in which Q is trimethylene and R<13> and R<14> are simultaneously H and whole of the residual is methyl]. EXAMPLE:3-(3-hexyl-1,1,3,3-tetramethyl disiloxanyl) propyl glyceryl ether. USE:Useful as an emulsifier for cosmetics, etc. PREPARATION:Organohydrogen polysiloxane expressed by formula IV (at least one of R<16> to R<27> is H and residual is 1-30C hydrocarbon) is made to react with alkenyl glyceryl ether expressed by formula V (Q' is 3-20C hydrocarbon having double bond).
