PURPOSE: To enhance simplification of the construction of the entire body and reliability and enable to reduce production cost, by a method wherein downward turning of a type wheel and pressing rolling of a printing roller are efficiently performed by a single driving mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: A base end part of a crank plate 41 for rolling the printing roller 23 in conjunction with downward or upward turning of the type wheel 8 effected by a cam groove 35 and a thrust plate 36 is fitted to a crank pivot shaft 40. A crank roller 44 is loosely fitted in a crank slot 43 provided at a central part. When a rotary disk 31 is rotated in the direction of an arrow Y, the crank roller 44 turns the crank plate 41 along an arcuate locus to the left side with respect to the inserting direction of a printing paper P, and sets the printing roller 23 into an initial movement along guide shafts 20, 21. The crank plate 41 thus moved is turned along the arcuate locus in the reverse direction by the crank roller 44, and the printing roller 23 is also moved for printing, thereby performing predetermined printing on the paper P.
