Abstract:
PURPOSE:To achieve pattern recognition accurately and at a high speed even if a size or a rotary angle of an object to be recognized changes in various manners. CONSTITUTION:After a reference image and a newly input image to be correlated are displayed at an electrical writing-type space light modulator 3 for input image and then are displayed at a light-writing-type space light modulator 65 for shift steadiness after Fourier transformation, a coordinate transformation image where they are transformed to a desired coordinate system using a coordinate transformation optical filter array 44 and a coordinate transformation lens array 47 is obtained. The intensity distribution image is displayed at a light-writing-type space light modulator 13 for coordinate transformation and a Fourier transformation intensity distribution image is displayed at a light-writing-type space light modulator 15 for Fourier transformation after Fourier transformation, and then a correlation coefficient between a coordinate transformation image of the reference image and that of the image to be correlated is obtained after Fourier transformation is performed again. A type of the reference image and the coordinate transformation can be changed easily and at a high speed and at the same time a pattern recognition which is steady even for shifting of the image to be correlated can be performed.
