PURPOSE: To ensure a seal between an outer lip and a panel by forming a subholding lip at the base of the outer lip and a grooved section on the panel direction side of the former base, and filling this grooved section with a sealant.
CONSTITUTION: A sub-holding lip 20 is formed at the base 9a of an outer lip 9 and a grooved section 21 with an opening section 21a that closes at normal times and opens when bent and deformed is formed on the panel 3 direction side of the base 9a, and then the grooved section is filled with a sealant 10. When a weather strip 2 is mounted on the panel 3, the sub-holding lip 20 is bent and deformed in the insertion direction of a flange section 4 by fitting a welt section 5 in the flange section 4. On the other hand, the outer lip 9 is bent and deformed in the direction where the side 9b of the outer lip 9 is extended. As a result, since the opening section 21a opens and the outer lip is deformed so that the depth of the grooved section 21 can be shallowed, the sealant 10 is protruded from the opening section 21a and adheres to both the outer lip 9 and panel 3.
