Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a printing apparatus when the operation of taking out printed sheets is delayed, without providing separately a detector detecting an allowable sheet pile. SOLUTION: A storage means 15 stores the relation of an intermediate pile amount with an allowable pile amount, which is set beforehand. An intermediate delivered sheet number computing means 13 determines the number of sheets delivered in the course from reception of a holding state signal from a board detector 3 to the time when a pile amount given from a pile amount detector 5 becomes an intermediate pile amount. An allowance degree computing means 14 computes the degree of allowance till the pile amount exceeds the allowable pile amount, based on a delivery speed given from a delivery speed control part (not shown in Fig.) of a printing apparatus, the relation stored in the storage means 15 and the number of delivered sheets given from the intermediate delivered sheet number computing means 13. A printing stop signal output means 16 outputs a printing stop signal on the basis of the computed degree of allowance.
