PURPOSE: To obtain a bar code card excellent in water-resistance and chemical- resistance by making resin coating on a card substrate after making the blanking work of bar code on the card substrate made of prescribed paper.
CONSTITUTION: When a bar code card 2 is issued, an industrial robot 6 operates and holds the card by a clipper 10 attached to the tip of an arm 9. Then, the robot 6 turns and carries the card 2 to a liquid tank 7 side. The liquid tank 7 is connected to a main tank and holds nearly fixed quantity of liquid. The card 2 reaches right above the liquid tank and goes down and immersed in the liquid. After a fixed time, the card 2 is taken out from the liquid tank by the robot, and resin coating is completed. Thus, the card is reinforced by the resin coated on the surface, and at the same time, water-resisting property and chemical-resisting property are given.
