PURPOSE: To obtain a lead tube caulking machine small in size, simple in structure, portable and high in operation efficiency by holding a lead tube to be worked by two horizontal long rollers while rotating the tube, and striking an end of the lead tube by a hammer of a hammer rotating device.

CONSTITUTION: A lead tube 10 to be worked held between two long rollers 11 installed horizontally on a lead tube elevator 20 height of which is adjustable by a jack 22 is rotated by a motor 12 in the direction of arrow pressure contacting a rubber roller 12a to one of long rollers 11. Then, a lever 3 pivoted to a frame with a pin 5 is turned, and the lead tube elevator 20 is slid on the frame 7 through a rod 4. While advancing the lead tube 10, rotary plates 37a, 37b of a hammer rotating device 30 are rotated by a motor 34, and the lead tube 10 is struck by rotating a hammer 35 attached to the rotary plate. Angle of striking of the hammer 35 is adjusted by vertical position of the plate 41 of a caulking adjusting device 40 to adjust the amount of caulking. Thus, desired caulking can be performed.
