Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the subject preventive and treating agent containing materials from sterilized bacterial cells, crushed materials thereof or cell wall component-containing materials prepared by fractionation of the crushed materials, excellent in safety and its effects. CONSTITUTION:One or more selected from materials e.g. obtained by heat- sterilizing the cells of bacteria belonging to the genus Bacillus, Brevibacterium, Corynebacterium, Escherichia, Lactobacillus, Streptococcus, Streptomyces or Biffidobacterium, a crushed-cell material obtained by mechanically crushing (e.g. French press or ultrasonic crusher) or enzymatically decomposing the above-mentioned bacterial cells, or cell wall component-containing materials obtained by fractionating (e.g. centrifugation or ultrafiltration) the above- mentioned crushed materials are used. The obtained materials are recommendably added to a feed for fishes or Crustacea in an amount of 0.01-5wt.%, preferably 0.05-1wt.% as dry material base.
