Abstract:
PURPOSE:To actively attenuate a harmonic current by applying suitable harmonic current to an AC power source at the input side. CONSTITUTION:The fifth harmonic current flowed at an AC power source is detected through a current sensor 6 by the fifth harmonic current detector 13, the output of which is combined differentially with the output signal of the fifth harmonic current reference regulating resistor 11 and inputted to a multiplier 17. The output signal of the third harmonic wave generator 18 which extracts the third harmonic wave signal from the phase controller 43 of a power converter is inputted to the multiplier 17. The output signal of the multiplier 17 is added to the normal phase control signal in an adder 42, and applied to the phase controller 43. A high speed converter 1 is controlled by the output signal of the controller 43.
