Title:
FUEL CONTROLLING APPARATUS FOR SUPERCHARGED ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5912144
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the engine load from becoming too high at the time when the supercharging pressure is raised rapidly, by providing a means for detecting pressure in an intake passage, and stopping injection of fuel when the pressure detected by said means becomes higher than a prescribed positive pressure.

CONSTITUTION: Air drawn from an air cleaner 1 is pressurized by a compressor 5 of a turbocharger 3 and then supplied from an intake passage 6 to a cylinder 9 via a throttle valve 7 and an intake manifold 8. In such an apparatus, a switch 7A for detecting the state that the throttle valve 7 is fully closed is turned ON when the suction vacuum is increased at the time of decelerating an engine by closing the throttle valve 7, and output of a fuel injection signal to an injector 10 is stopped by a control means 12. Similarly, a pressure switch 24 is turned ON when the supercharging pressure is increased extraordinarily and pressure in the intake manifold 8 has become higher than a prescribed value, and fuel supply is stopped by the control means 12. With such as arrangement, it is enabled to prevent overload of an engine.
