PURPOSE: An antifungal material, consisting of a liquid diene type polymer containing groups of active hydrogen atoms, an organic isocyanate compound and an aniline type polyol, and having the individual improved antifungal property even without incorporating an antifungal agent separately therein.
CONSTITUTION: An antifungal material obtained by incorporating 100pts.wt. liquid diene type polymer, containing groups of active hydrogen atoms, and having preferably 500W10,000 number-average molecular weight, e.g. a polymer or copolymer of a 4W12C diolefin, with 10W60pts.wt. organic isocyanate and 5W 30pts.wt. aniline type polyol, e.g. a compound of formula I (R is lower alkyl; n is 2 or 3), preferably a compound of formula II or III. The above-mentioned antifungal material is used as a hardened molded article in insulating materials for electric and electronic apparatuses or sealing materials in printed wiring boards, etc. and further usable as coating materials for steel pipes or resin pipes, or plasticizers, waterproofing agents or coating materials, etc. to exhibit improved antifungal action.
