Title:
DEVICE FOR POLISHING SMALL-DIAMETER DRILL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6016350
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accurately polish a drill and shorten the time of the polishing for efficiency, by observing the whole polished surface of the drill through a magnifier in front of a grindstone and tilting the drill immediately under the magnifier.

CONSTITUTION: A support 2 is provided on a base 1. A moving body is provided in front of a grindstone 5 so that the body can move perpendicularly to the axis of the grindstone. A chuck 19, which holds a polished drill A, is provided on the upper end of a tubular mandrel 18 which is opposed to a magnifier 7. The lower end of the mandrel 18 is interlocked with an operating knob 20, which is turned relative to an intermediate member 16 to move the mandrel back or forth for fine adjustment in the axial direction as the mandrel itself is not turned. When a grabber 13 is tilted toward the grindstone 5, the grabber is made stable at a prescribed tilt angle for the polished surface of the drill A. This results in enabling accurate polishing and in shortening the time thereof.
