PURPOSE: To improve the appearance of the whole of a device by closing the opening section of a lever guide section for projecting a speed change lever outside and easily and surely confirm the speed change position of the speed change lever.
CONSTITUTION: In a speed change position indicating device wherein a speed change lever 23 is projected outside from the opening section 27 of a lever guide section 22, a closing plate 28 is arranged on the back face of the lever guide 22 for closing the opening section 27 of the lever guide section 22. The closing plate 28 is also firmly attached to the speed change lever 23 so as to move along the back face of the lever guide 22 together with the speed change operation of the speed change lever 23, and a indication window 29 is provided on the lever guide section 22, and a speed change position indication 30 is provided on the closing plate 28 such that when the speed change lever 23 is operated for speed changing, the speed change position indication 30 appears.
