Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve reliability by spirally winding a semirigid insulating tape impregnated with a resin and cured after winding onto a superconducting wire for a superconducting field coil and forming cooling paths into air gaps among the tape. CONSTITUTION:A rotor for a superconducting rotary electric machine is composed of a coil mounting shaft 2 to which a slot 18 and a helium flowing path 22 are shaped, superconducting field coils 25, lower, upper and in-slot each insulating material 28-30, and a cylindrical body 31 fitted on the outer circumferential side of said mounting shaft 2. Said field coil 25 is formed by winding plural rows and plural layers of superconducting wires 25a. The superconducting conductor 25a has a spirally wound semirigid insulating tape 26 impregnated with a resin and cured after winding, and cooling paths 27 are formed into air gaps among the tape 26. Accordingly, a refrigerant is made to flow through various cooling paths 2a, 28a-28c, 29a-29c, 30a communicated with said helium flowing hole 22, thus cooling said coils 25.
