Abstract:
PURPOSE:To flush out the scale stuck on electrodes, etc. and to prevent the degradation in th performance of an iron ion implanting device used for protection, etc. of the cooling tubes of heat exchangers by providing a bypass system which injects high pressure water in an electrolytic tank. CONSTITUTION:In an iron ion implanting device which forms corrosion preventive films in condensate cooling tubes, etc., a spray pipe 7 having nozzles 13 is mounted in the upper part of an electrolytic chamber 14. During the operation of the cell 14, the inlet valve 9 and outlet valve 10 of the electolytic cell are closed, and the high pressure water flowing through the pipe 7 is injected through the nozzles 13 onto electrodes 16. The injected high pressure water washes off the scale stuck between the electrodes 16 and is discharged through a drain pipe 8 from the lower part of the cell 14. By such mechanism, the degradation in the performance of the device by sticking of scale and the generation of the damage in the functions of the device by bypassing, etc. are prevented.
