Abstract:
PURPOSE:To relieve friction and perform perfect seal through a simple means by employing a shutting-off means, which prevents the pressure of a pressurizing medium from being directly exerted on an annular chamber, in parallel with an elastic bag body filled with fluid. CONSTITUTION:The shutting-off means 10 prevents the pressure of a pressurizing medium such as oil, gas etc. from being exerted on a lip body 7 together with prevention of any increase in friction, when it is attached to a hydraulic cylinder. The reduction in a tightening force on the lip body 7 as a result of preventing the effect of the pressure caused by the pressurizing medium from being exerted thereon can be compensated by the pressure of fluid in an elastic bag body 14, and the pressurizing medium can be kept away from leakage without decreasing the tightening force of the lip body 7 against a sliding body 4. The tightening force of the lip body 7 against the sliding body 4 can be appropriately selected depending on the pressurizing state and the quantity of the fluid such as oil with which the elastic bag body 14 is filled.
