PURPOSE: To provide a nozzle having a specified structure, capable of not only peeling and washing a long vegetable in a short time by mixing air with water and spraying the resultant mixture and, in addition, cutting the roots by the injection force and suitable, e.g. for washing of a Welsh onion.

CONSTITUTION: This nozzle 6 is a peeling and washing nozzle 6 for long vegetables and used by setting to the inside of a washing case opened at the rear part and having an insertion opening at the front part. The top part 14 of the peeling and washing nozzle 6 has a tapered-shape and an injection opening 11 is formed at the top part. The top part of a compressed air supply pipe 12 is buried in the rear part of the peeling and washing nozzle 6 and a spray nozzle 13 is formed at the top part. The top part of this spray nozzle 13 is connected to the injection opening 11 and an opening part 15 is formed at the tapered-shape top part 14. This opening part 15 is connected to a water supply pipe 16 from the inside of the peeling and washing nozzle 6 and a thin packing material 18 having a notched channel 17 formed from the opening part toward the injection opening 11 is attached to the top part 14. A cover unit 20 is attached through a hinge unit so as to cover the notched channel 17.
