PURPOSE: To aim at making the working of unloading efficient, by reciprocating a scraper along an inclined path which is inclined upward from the bottom surface of a cargo hold of top opening type arranged longitudinally of a ship, in order to rake up the bulk cargo in the hold.

CONSTITUTION: In the end section of a top opening type bulk cargo hold 1 for storing therein dredged mud or the like, which is laid longitudinally of a ship, a curved surface 1b is formed curved and inclined upward from the bottom surface 1a of the hold 1. An outboard discharge device including a hopper 13 and a belt conveyor 14 is connected to the opening of an inclined member 4 which is provided on a top deck 2 so that it is connected to the hold curved surface 1b through a support bed 3. The unloading of the bulk cargo in the hold 1 may be efficinetly made by a scraper 5 which is adapted to reciprocate along the curved surface 1b in the hold 1 and the inclined member 4.
