Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a novel antibiotic SF-1130-X2 substance exhibiting the growth inhibiting action to Gram-negative bacteria and useful also as an immunoactivator, by culturing a microbial strain belonging to Streptomyces genus.
CONSTITUTION: A microbial strain belonging to Streptomyces genus and capable of producing an antibiotic SF-1130-X2 substance, e.g. Streptomyces myxogenes SF-1130 strain (FERM-P NO.676), is cultured at 25W38°C for 2W5 days under aerobic condition, and the objective antibiotic SF-1130-X2 substance is collected from the filtrate of the cultured product.
