Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the number of tracks and to increase the recording capacity by a simple structure, by winding a metallic bond onto a pulley of a carriage driving motor by two rotations or more. CONSTITUTION:A metallic band 31 is wound without a gap to a pulley 16 by a spring part 22, and when the pulley 16 rotates in the direction 32, a carriage moves in the direction 33. In this case, the metallic band 31 is wound onto the pulley 16 by two times, therefore, such a phenomenon as the metallic band 31 is not detached from th pulley 16 by a metallic band fixing screw 21 by one rotation is not generated, and the rotation can be executed by another rotation or so. Also, a metal reinforcing plate 25 is placed so that it is not protruded to the outside from the outside diameter of the pulley, so as not to hit against the carriage. Also, a part for escaping from a head part of the screw is provided on the metallic band so that it does not hit against the fixing screw 21. In this way, the recording capacity can be increased by a simple structure.
