PURPOSE: To make the distribution of the velocity of drying air supplied from a feed port uniform by a method wherein inclined guide plates are provided in a supply chamber to deflect and guide drying air and the guide plates located on the downstream side farther from the port in the drying air flow direction have larger inclination angles.
CONSTITUTION: A dryer for drying grain and vegetables has an air passage R between a drying chamber 1 where a shelf track loaded with drying items is housed and an outer chamber structure 2. A fan 3 capable of freely deflecting its air flow direction is installed in the upper air passage of the air passage R and an indoor unit 4a of a heat pump type air conditioner 4 is mounted in the left side air passage. Two or more inclined guide plates 6 are provided in a supply chamber C to guide drying air supplied form the air passage R toward the left side of the drying chamber 1, and the guide plates 6 located on the downstream side farther from an air blow port G in the air flow direction have longer distances from the air blow port G and larger inclination angles with respect to the opening surface of the air feed port G.
