PURPOSE: To compensate missing of information surely through the use of a small capacity of memory, by recording a conversion table among a plurality of programs with the block number, the block number and a recording position of the block and interpolating missing blocks with the blocks of other positions at reproduction.

CONSTITUTION: A program P1 is recorded on sections 11, 13 and 14 on a video disc 1 with shifted positions toward the circumferential direction of track. Each block of the program P1 is added with a block number which is identified with the minimum unit of a time record TC. This is the same for the other programs. The conversion table between the block number and the recording position of the block is recorded. If a block causing missing (for example, in the section 11) exists at reproduction, the conversion table is referenced from the other section 12, the block corresponding to the other section 13 is reproduced to interpolate the missing. Thus, a small capacity of memory is used, allowing to interpolate the missing information surely.
