PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of information exchange by reporting the end and informing a transmitter of the end when the print of a memory received original to recording paper ends corresponding to a request from the transmitter at the time of the reception.

CONSTITUTION: On a transmitter side, report information showing a printed report returning function is present on a main control part 2 in the receiver side is received from the receiver side and after received data are printed to the receiver side, the instruction information of printed report return showing the end of printing is transmitted. Thus, the receiver side receives the data from the transmitter side and prints the contents of those data on the recording paper by using a recording control part 8. Then, the receiver side prepares the printed report showing the end of printing by using a printed report preparing means 5 and transmits it to the transmitter side.
