PURPOSE: The titled filamentary yarns, prepared by melt spinning a specific copolyester, and drawing nonuniformly the resultant filamentary yarns, dyeable under ordinary pressure, capable of controlling the difference between the light and shade, and having uneven thickness in the longitudinal direction of the fibers.
CONSTITUTION: Copolyester filamentary yarns, prepared by melt spinning a copolyester containing 80mol% or more alkylene terephthalate in repeating units and 5mol% or less, based on the total acid component, carboxylic acid component containing metallic salt of sulfonic acid, and 1W10wt%, based on the polymer, glycol expressed by the formula (R is 4W20C bifunctional aliphatic hydrocarbon group or aromatic hydrocarbon group; i and j are positive integers 2W4; m and n are 0 or positive integers; 1≤m+n≤15) as a glycol component, and nonuniformly drawing the resultant filamentary yarns. The resultant filamentary yarns have thick and thin parts in the longitudinal direction thereof, and the ratio between the diameters of both parts is ≥1.2.
